About the Instructor
Michael
Spillman joined the faculty of the Department of Telecommunications
in 1995. He has a BA from Indiana University, an MS from Butler University,
and
completed coursework and exams for a PhD in Mass Communications at Indiana
University. His principal teaching and research areas are telecommunications
law and policy, media history, and the relationship between sports and
electronic media; professionally, he has been operations manager of an
Indianapolis radio station, as well as general manager of a homevideo retail
chain and a sales representative for a national video software distributor.
